Nathan Foster on Spiritual Practices and The Making of an Ordinary Saint

Sharing is caring!

Nathan Foster joined me on the Pastoring with Word podcast to talk about spiritual practices. If the name Foster rings a bell in relation to spiritual practices, you might be thinking of Nathan’s dad, Richard Foster. Over 40 Richard Foster wrote Celebration of Discipline, which has since become a modern classic on spiritual formation.

In The Making of an Ordinary Saint Nathan intentionally engages with the practices from his dad’s book and reflects on his experience. In the podcast we talk about his experiences with the practices, life with Christ, growing in community, and the challenges involved with writing.

Nathan Foster is the Director of Community Life at Renovare. He has a wonderful way of extending hospitality. Even though I was the interviewer, Nathan made me feel at home and welcome.
